The Nurses (ABC TV series)

''The Nurses'' is an American soap opera that aired on ABC from September 27, 1965 to March 31, 1967. The show was a continuation of a serialized primetime drama which aired on CBS originally called ''The Nurses'' when it premiered in 1962, later called ''The Doctors and the Nurses.''
The setting was Alden General Hospital and the main characters included Mary Fickett as Liz Thorpe and Melinda Cordell as Gail Lucas, along with Claudia McNeil, Lee Patterson, Nicholas Pryor, Paul Stevens, Arthur Franz, and Lesley Woods.
==Main Crew==
Richard Holland and Gordon Russell were the Head Writers. The Executive producer was Doris Quinlan, who later produced ''One Life to Live''. Several of the performers on this show were later on ''One Life to Live''. The music for the series was composed by Frank Lewin.
Coronet Blue connects to this series. In the Coronet Blue pilot, the amnesiac played by Frank Converse is taken to Alden hospital, which is the fictional hospital that this series takes place in. The amnesiac even takes the name Alden as his own last name.
